Tayi is a collective, collaborative work space for artists, where we focus on providing theatre workshops and camps, irrespective of age and gender. Being a professional theatre group, we cater to providing training for theatre professionals as well non-professionals who are new to the field.
Our moto is to breakfree of the inhibitions of the participants to leverage their talents and explore themselves to create a better tomorrow for the individual as well as the society.
We have been a team since 2020, directing numerous plays for college and school-level competitions. Additionally, we have conducted over 50 camps at various institutions. We have directed plays such as Tayi, Aina, Pekrom Pekrom, The Tempest, Joan of Arc, and many others. The team includes Mr. Jasir P.T., Athul Raj, Sharath K. Pachu, and Nithin Chandra.

Mr. Nithin is a passionate theatre performer, actor, and activist. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Functional English, a Master's in Journalism and Communication, and a second Master's in Theatre Studies from the University of Pondicherry. With two years of teaching experience in the Department of Journalism at St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Devagiri, he has made significant contributions to education. He co-directed the play Thayi for Sacred Heart College, Thevara, which won first prize at the MG University Nadakolsavam.
A passionate and creative theatre artist with extensive experience, he began his journey as an actor and director during his school days. Over the years, he has performed and directed more than 20 plays and has written scripts for dramas, web series, short films, and even a full-length movie. As a multifaceted artist, he has also trained in Carnatic music for six years and considers musical instruments an integral part of his life. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Malayalam from Guruvayurappan College, Calicut, and a Postgraduate degree in Performing Arts from the Central University of Pondicherry. His talent has earned him accolades, including the Best Actor award at Sub-District and District Kalolsavams, as well as the B-Zone competition of Calicut University. His film debut was in Under World, followed by another project titled Michel's Coffee House.
Mr. Sharath is a versatile actor, director, and scriptwriter with a Postgraduate degree in Performing Arts (Theatre). With over 10 years of experience in children’s theatre, he showcases remarkable adaptability across various performance genres. His diverse portfolio includes directing three music videos, acting in the Malayalam movie Uzhal, and featuring in the web series 90s Kids.
Mr. Jasir P.T., a young and vibrant theatre activist, holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and a Postgraduate degree in Performing Arts with a specialization in theatre and drama from Pondicherry University. With extensive experience in acting, he has appeared in Malayalam films such as Buddy, directed by Raaj Prabhavathy Menon, and Uzhal, a crowd-funded movie recently released on an OTT platform and directed by Vaishnav and Gokul. He has also showcased his talent in web series like Aduppu and 90s Kids, both available on YouTube. Additionally, he co-directed the play Who Am I with renowned French dramatist Pelen Philip. His contributions extend to music albums as well, including Mazha, Iniyennum, and Ima. Notably, he was honored with the Best Actor award at the Kerala Kalolsavam in 2012.
